What we collect

When you use tymzi, we may collect: • Account info: your name, email, and profile photo from Google Sign-In • Event data: events you create, RSVPs, and attendance records • Location: approximate GPS location (only when you grant permission) to show nearby events • Usage: pages visited, taps, device type — used to improve the app

How we use it

We use your information to: • Show you relevant events and let you RSVP or buy tickets • Generate your personal QR code for event check-in • Send event reminders and updates (only for events you RSVP'd to) • Improve the platform based on how people use it • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse We do not send unsolicited marketing emails.

Event organisers and attendee data

When you attend an event, the event organiser may collect your name and phone number (if enabled). This data is visible to the organiser in their dashboard. tymzi does not sell or share this data with third parties outside the platform.

Photos and images

Event poster images you upload are stored via Cloudflare Images and are publicly accessible. Do not upload images you do not own or have rights to. Your Google profile photo is displayed within the app.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with: • Cloudflare: image hosting • Flutterwave: payment processing for paid events • Google: authentication (you authenticate directly with Google) All third parties are bound by their own privacy policies.

Data retention

Your account data is retained while your account is active. Event attendance records are kept for 2 years for organiser analytics. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time by emailing us.

Your rights

You have the right to: • Access your personal data • Correct inaccurate data • Delete your account and data • Export your event history Email [email protected] to exercise these rights. We respond within 14 business days.

Security

We use HTTPS for all data in transit and store sessions securely. Your Google authentication token is never stored — we only store your profile information. We cannot guarantee 100% security of any internet-based service.

Children

tymzi is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has registered, contact us and we will delete the account.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be notified in the app. Continued use means acceptance of the updated policy. Last updated: 2026.
